WORKING TOGETHER
Before we get started.
-
Each service is designed around a different level and type of support. If you’re unsure where to begin, share a little about your project through the Start Your Project form and I’ll help determine which service is the best fit.
-
I don’t currently offer standalone design consultations. Alexandra Home’s services are structured around defined scopes and deliverables, allowing you to choose the level of support that best fits your project.
-
Most Alexandra Home services are offered virtually, allowing projects to be completed remotely throughout Ontario. In-Person Styling is also available as a separate service.
-
In-person styling is currently available in Burlington and Oakville. Other services are designed to be completed virtually.
-
Yes. Depending on your project, services can be used individually or combined. If you’re unsure which combination makes sense, include that in your project inquiry.
SERVICES + PROCESS
What to expect along the way.
-
Requirements vary by service, but may include room measurements, photos, inspiration images, and information about your needs, preferences, and existing pieces. You’ll receive guidance on exactly what is needed for your project.
-
For virtual services that require measurements, you’ll be asked to provide accurate dimensions of your space. A measurement guide will be provided to help you gather the information needed.
-
Existing furniture and décor can be incorporated into the design. You’ll have an opportunity to identify the pieces you’d like to keep and provide photos and measurements where needed so they can be considered as part of the project.
-
Services are priced for one defined space at a time. Open-concept areas are assessed based on how the spaces function rather than square footage or the number of walls. For example, an open living and dining area may be considered more than one space if each area requires its own distinct design work. If you’re unsure how your space will be classified, include it in your project inquiry and I’ll confirm the appropriate scope before you book.
-
Your project is Ready to Design once all of the information required to begin has been received and reviewed. Depending on the service, this may include your completed questionnaire, photos or video, measurements, inspiration images, information about existing furnishings, and furnishings budget. Your estimated turnaround begins once your project is Ready to Design.
-
Typical turnaround times vary by service and are listed on each service page. Turnaround begins once your project is Ready to Design. If additional information or client feedback is needed during the project, the timeline may pause until it is received. Revision rounds may add approximately 3–5 business days per round where applicable.
-
Revision allowances vary by service and are outlined before your project begins. Any additional work outside the included scope can be discussed separately.
-
A revision round is one consolidated set of requested changes submitted at the same time. Small revisions refine the established design direction. Requests for a new direction, additional concepts, another space, or significant changes to the agreed-upon scope are considered additional work. The number of included revision rounds and changes varies by service and is outlined on the applicable service page.
-
Additional design work or revisions outside the included scope are available at $100/hour. Any additional billable work will be discussed with you before it begins.
-
3D visuals are intended to communicate the overall design direction as accurately as possible. Representative models and materials may be used where exact products or finishes are unavailable within the design software, so some details may vary from the final result.
-
Product recommendations and sourcing are included where specified within a service, while clients are responsible for purchasing their selected items.
BOOKING + PAYMENT
Ready when you are.
-
Complete the Start Your Project form with a few details about your space and the support you’re looking for. I’ll review your inquiry and follow up with the appropriate next steps.
-
Availability can vary, so reaching out as soon as you’re considering a project is recommended. You can include your preferred timing when submitting your inquiry.
-
Payment details are provided before booking and may vary depending on the service and project scope. Any required deposit and remaining payment schedule will be clearly outlined before work begins.
